FAQs

How do I stop my tan from fading?

The best way to prolong your tan is to keep skin healthy and hydrated. This involves moisturising regularly. Hot showers and baths, shaving and waxing can all dry out skin, as they can strip skin of its natural oils. Therefore, applying moisturisers after bathing and showering and as part of your daily routine will help rejuvenate and nourish skin for longer-lasting colour.

All of our Moisturisers and Tan Extenders contain essential skincare as well as vitamins, antioxidants, minerals and natural oils, helping your skin to lock in moisture.

Can I use my indoor lotion outside?

Yes you can, but you have to remember that an indoor product contains no sunscreen this increases your risk of burning.

When tanning outdoors, we recommend applying sunscreen followed by a tanning lotion. It is important to reapply sunscreen frequently throughout the day to minimise the risk of burning (every two hours as a minimum).

Does showering stop my tan?

Showering immediately after tanning can affect the colour you retain- showering can dry out skin, preventing the colour from deepening; your skin needs to be hydrated to develop and maintain a tan.

What is my skin type?

Whats the difference to UVA and UVB?

UVA rays are the “longer”, more powerful rays. They can cause skin damage and ageing due to the fact they penetrate deeply into the layers of the skin.

UVB rays are “shorter” rays but are damaging nonetheless. These rays cause the skin to burn, therefore, when looking for a sunscreen, it is important to choose one that blocks both UVA an UVB.
